In Exile: Prepping for Pedro (Chapter 2)
In preparation for our next teaching series on 1 Peter, I'm sharing some of the questions which each chapter of the book raises for me. As I said in my last post, listing the questions a passage raises is one of the tools I use when preparing a sermon. Therefore here are the questions raised by 1 Peter 2.
How do we rid ourselves of all malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy and slander?
How do we understand "spiritual house"?
How do we understand "holy priesthood"?
What are the the spiritual sacrfices we should offer to God?
How do we offer them "through Jesus"?
How do our sinful desires wage war against our soul?
What does it mean in practice to submit to human authority?
How do we deal with references to slavery?
